what make life fulfilling

12 Things That Makes Your Life Fulfilling?

What makes life fulfilling? I’ve acquired many reasons for why I believe in a fulfilling life. Over time, my attitudes toward these beliefs have changed, but I don’t think my underlying philosophies have. The core beliefs about what makes a fulfilling life haven’t changed, but my understanding of these beliefs have evolved.

We are all looking for fulfilment. Whether it is a $50 million paycheck or contributing to the lives of others, we are all looking for meaning in our lives.

How often do you ask yourself, “what is the right thing to do here?” And you’ve given it considerable thought, and you still can’t seem to figure out what would make the most sense? You feel stuck and uncertain.

Why? Because there are two choices, and neither seems like they will lead to fulfilment. So, you try to weigh the pros and cons, but after a while, even that seems like a pointless exercise.

In this article, I will show you some great ways to follow that will make your life fulfilling.

1. Addressing Your Dissatisfaction

Dissatisfaction is a cause for dissatisfaction, and dissatisfaction is another word for a sense of grievance. One becomes dissatisfied when he or she does not have what it takes to be fulfilling.

Now, why does one feel dissatisfied? In most cases, it is because the individual has tried several means to amend the situation, but all of them have failed.

However, here is where addressing the dissatisfaction’s root cause will help you.

It has been said that when a person realizes that there is no form of life satisfaction, he begins to move towards fulfilment.

This can be attributed to the need for fulfilment in life. Let me ask you this: what form of fulfilment do you seek in your life?

It can be either the material kind, such as acquiring wealth, getting a home, purchasing an automobile and so on. Or it can be more spiritual such as having peace and serenity, gaining recognition and so on.

2. Chase Your Dreams and Never Quit.

Chase your dreams and never quit. This seems like a simple enough idea, but many of us suffer from the delusion that we’re not good enough or that it’s too late to start. This serves as a reminder to chase your dreams.

Don’t put off tomorrow what you can do today. Don’t ever quit. Chase your dreams, and you’ll get what you want.

So chase your dreams, run after them — not with blinders on as if you could catch them, but aware that they’re always just beyond your grasp. If you’re persistent, you might get them; if you get them, you’ve earned them.

3. Prioritize Your Time Wisely.

My life philosophy is that if you prioritize your time wisely, it will give you the freedom to do the things you love and get what you want.

Sometimes people say, “I don’t have the time,” when they really misprioritized their time and could have spent it elsewhere. At other times, people say, “It’s not a priority for me right now,” when it’s a priority for them.

The way you prioritize your life is important. I can’t stress that enough! Prioritizing your life creates clarity in what you do each day and how you accomplish your goals.

Life is a choice. It’s a choice to be happy, have more free time, and feel fulfilled. It’s a choice to spend less time in traffic and spend more time with your family.

Many of us feel like we just don’t have enough time to do what we want to do or be who we want to be.

4. Be a Giver Not a Taker

On the surface, it sounds interesting. But it’s loaded. It suggests that we should give. And not take. That is bad. But let’s look at the facts:

  1. The planet is at its breaking point due to what we take.
  2. Taking is not bad.
  3. Giving can be harmful to yourself and everyone around you.

These facts are uncomfortable to accept because they go against everything we have been taught. And everything we have been taught is inherently wrong.

It’s wrong because it serves the people who have benefitted from this negligence at the expense of the people who can afford to learn the truth for themselves.

It’s wrong because it teaches us to be takers instead of givers, which is reflected in how we treat other people, how our economy functions and how we interact with nature itself.

It’s wrong because it has enabled theft on an unprecedented scale, and it has made certain people very wealthy in the process of doing so.

5. Building Good Habits

You all know that good habits are important to your success. But, I bet you haven’t thought about why they’re so important. Maybe you have, but I’d like to share a few thoughts on the subject anyway because it’s an important one, and it’s important to understand even the small stuff.

You’re more successful in business and life when you have good habits; you’re naturally better at everything because you are always prepared. But sometimes, it’s hard to know where to start.

How to set up good habits that will make your life better; from building your confidence and motivation to reaching your fitness goals, improving your relationships and increasing your productivity, there is a good habit to help you.

The key is to identify the patterns and triggers that matter most to you and create a simple daily ritual for yourself that you’ll actually look forward to.

The most important habits we can implement are good habits. They are the ones that will help us achieve our goals and dreams and set us apart from other people who don’t do the same. But it’s not always easy to build good habits.

When you’re trying to develop a new habit, you often can’t tell whether your efforts are working or not.

6. Living Your Values

Why should you live your values? If you are living your values, you are living a life of integrity. You are not a phony sugar-coated person that is full of shit. You live authentically to who you are and your purpose on this planet.

Everyone wants to live their values. What gives your life meaning and purpose? If you can’t decide what to do, “just figure out what your values are, ” and it will become obvious.

An individual’s choice of lifestyle is often the result of many factors. Some simply choose to lead a healthy, balanced and active lifestyle from an early age in order to maintain health, fitness and vitality in their older years.

Others are motivated by a desire to minimize their impact on the environment and do their part for future generations. While some choose lifestyles based on religious or cultural traditions, others choose those that enable them to fill a particular role or give back to the community they are a part of.

For many, personal values are at the core of lifestyle choices. Our choices reflect what we value, and our attempts to live following those values usually lead us to make decisions that reflect our attitudes and beliefs.

How we live our lives is an outward expression of our respect for life itself.

7. Improve Yourself Daily

No matter your life stage, never stop putting in the effort to be your best version.

I’ve always been a believer in hard work. And no matter what your life stage, I believe we’re never too old – or too young – to put in the effort to be the best version of ourselves.

This philosophy reminds me to put in effort every day – whether it’s something as simple as mowing my lawn or as challenging as launching a business.

I know that when I put in the effort to be my best self – whether it’s at work, at home or on the athletic field – success comes naturally. Good things will happen if you just never stop putting in the effort.

Start putting in the work today and see what happens.

8. Having Good Health and Well-being

Health is the state of an individual’s complete physical, mental, and social well-being. It is the ability to adapt, manage stress, and fulfil one’s role in the family, work, and society.

It may also include an individual’s ability to cope with their environment. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

Why good health and well-being are important for us;

  1. Physical exercise is extremely vital and beneficial for our health and well-being.
  2. Good health and well-being are vital prerequisites for happiness.
  3. One should start exercising early in life, even at a tender age, to ensure a healthy body, mind and spirit.
  4. Children being given a good diet and nutrition are more likely to grow up in good health.
  5. Regular physical exercise also helps in maintaining good health throughout life.
  6. The benefits of regular physical exercise are immense and manifold.
  7. Physically fit persons are more productive and happy in their work, study and life.
  8. Physically fit persons enjoy better mental relaxation than sedentary ones, who are always worried about gains or loss of weight.
  9. Being physically fit also leads to better productivity at the workplace, as one can work more efficiently with less fatigue and strain.
  10. Physical exercise means doing aerobic exercises and balancing exercises that involve using all different muscle groups in the body to help improve overall strength, balance and flexibility.
  11. Regular physical exercise also results in increased levels of endorphins in the blood, which is known as the feel-good hormone in the world today.

9. Find Purpose in Your Life’s Work

We need to stop asking ourselves useless questions like “What do you want to be when you grow up?” What’s the point of asking a question you already know the answer to?

If you find yourself thinking this way, then it might be a good idea to stop, take a moment, and ask yourself another question. Instead of asking yourself what you want to be when you grow up, ask yourself this instead.

I’m 28, and I feel today, for the first time ever, like I can see my life’s purpose. And it’s one thing: it’s to help people learn to love their work and to discover and share their own unique path that could change the world.

I want to take all the things I’ve done in my life, all the things I’ve learned from other people, and all the things I’ve yet to learn and turn them into a positive force in someone else’s life.

10. Don’t Expect Anything From People.

The general rule is to treat people the way you want to be treated. Human beings have this innate need to feel useful and wanted. We need praise even if we believe that people will always disappoint us in our hearts.

The most common way for that to happen is by failing to reach a particular expectation. If you think your friend should call you and they don’t, it’s hurtful.

If you expect your significant other to call and they don’t, you say it’s a deal-breaker and break up with them.

So, you can avoid all these burdens just by expecting none from people.

11. Make Good Connections with God

God is the source of all greatness. When we trust in Him, keep faith in Him, and develop a strong connection with Him, He will help satisfy our needs for love, acceptance and success.

A lot of people are searching for ways to be happy in their life and what makes their life worthwhile. Some people want to be happy with what they have, and others want to work hard to achieve their goals.

Achieving your dreams and being successful is always a very difficult journey. If you are struggling to succeed in your life, you need to find the right way to have that success.

God showed me that life is just a test and that everything will come on time. I’ve learned that when you pray to the Lord and let Him know your fears, the Holy Spirit will speak to you and give insight into your situation.

It sounds crazy, but the things God has shown me have helped me make decisions that have changed my life. So I say it’s never too late to build a relationship with God. Start doing that today.

12. Value the People Around You

Your family is the most important thing you have in life. Don’t be a stranger to them. Include them in your life.

Your friends are the second most important thing in your life. Be with them when you can, and be sure to keep in touch. Tell them how much you love them and what they mean to you.

Let your neighbours know you care about what happens to their children and families.

Let them know that you are there for them if they need help. Be friendly to your neighbours and find out what you can do for each other.

What makes life fulfilling? These philosophies mentioned above provide techniques for living and specific methods of self-improvement, such as meditation techniques and advice on healthy living.

As life moves fast, we aim to provide you with an opportunity to slow down, relax and breathe so that you can find fulfilment in your life.
